This is an excellent read for our community. Big shoutout to Dr. Walker on this one! She does a beautiful job writing about mental health in a way that is understandable for us. The examples and scenarios she uses are relatable. The tactics and strategies she provides are practical and actionable. There are moments of real talk throughout and some moments where you may be triggered (Black mental health is triggering), but ultimately, you’ll learn more about mental health and what you can do to support yourself and others. I came across the audiobook version of this title one day as I was scrolling through Spotify for something to listen to. I listened to a few chapters and began feeling like my metaphorical cup was being filled. I have since bought the physical copy, which I keep close by for when that cup starts to run low. I have a lot of appreciation for Jor-El Caraballo for writing this (and narrating it). I think this is a must-purchase for any Black man as there is something amongst those 100 ways that would work. Check it out and let me know how it helps. Get the 📕.
